Bad News

If there's one thing I already knew about my profession is that it won't be easy... but I'm up for the challenge... I received an email yesterday stating although my skills are impressive the company will be looking for other candidates for the job... I must admit I was a lil disappointed at first... but my drive to succeed has only increased.. One down many more left to go... Until then I'm still working to get Closer to my Dreams!!!

Rocky Road

Had to work another Early shift at the Radio Station today... I don't know why, but I'm beyond exhausted.. And I actually went to sleep quite early last night... Well this week is Dreading midterm week so I've been studying very hard for this particular class.. Laws and Policy (not easy)... It's required to graduate so I must let go of my senioritis and study hard... I would love to have some really good news today about Harpo Studios or even any other job/internship leads, but I haven't received any calls... Maybe sprints acting up again lol... I can say that life's has been taking me on this crazy path... IN I LOVE IT!!! Well until then I'm still working to get closer to my dreams

Very Proud

If you don't know by now... I work at WSIU Radio Station and have been for two years now... Sometimes I work the evening 3-7 shift, but two days out of the week I work at 5am..YES!!! I said 5am... The only student on campus at that time... The way I see it... I'm the one getting the upper hand in this... This morning I was determined to at least apply for an internship and a job(WGN Radio/TV and Integrated Media)... I've accomplished that plus more... I now have a list of FIVE more opportunities that I will apply for by the end of the day... that's if my laptop will be a good girl and work for me... Until then I'm still working to get Closer To My Dreams!!!!

Motivated

Today I woke up feeling GREAT!!!! I'm feeling so motivated to just do whatever I have to do to make it n this world... Regardless of the lecture my professor gave today about (RECESSION) n how bad things are right now... There's just a part of me that pushes all the negativity aside. Other than that I must thank my friends and family and that special someone that motivates me n brings nothing but positive energy my way... My goal for today is to narrow out more News stations I would like to apply too...3 months till graduation... Until then I'm still working to get Closer To My Dreams!!!

SENIORITIS

It's official...I HAVE SENIORITIS... Just by knowing I'm graduating in 3 months lazy habits have taken over my body... I find myself not wanting to do anything, but sleep my life away... I've come this far I'm going to need some other way of energy except Coffee... unfortunately me n coffee don't get along too well... Red Bull is a joke, I got more tired when drinking it... The only thing that does give me energy would be exercising... Until then I'm still working to get Closer To My Dreams n find time to go to the Rec lol

Harpo Studios

Ok... So I must get things together. Graduation is May 15 @ 1pm and as of right now I am not sure what I'm doing with my life. Since I can remember I use to always watch the Oprah Winfrey Show... I couldn't go to sleep without watching it... that's how big of a fan I was... I know this may sound weird, but I've always said I'm going to be the next Oprah... N actually I'm very serious about that... I have the drive and I see my future right in front of me... I just have to do all I can to get there... But off track... yesterday I decided to apply for a internship with Harpo Studios... I've worked so hard in volunteering at school and working at the radio station... I hope this all pays off and I get the internship... I would be beyond happy if I had the opportunity... So cross your fingers for me... Until then I'm still working to get Closer To My Dreams!!!
